Rockstar Ovaries

In my humble opinion, I have rockstar ovaries! They retrieved 15 eggs today. Fifteen! Woot, woot!

After getting up at 3:45 a.m. this morning, and not being gassed until after 8 a.m., I'm pooped. Fertilization report tomorrow. Naptime!

How many did you have at your last ultrasound before retrieval... curious to know the difference. And sizes if your willing to share....

Our Infertility History

Summer 1998: Met my future husband.

June 2002: Moved in together.

August 2004: Got married.

November 2006: Birth Control is thrown out! If it happens, it happens.

May 2007: Received my Master's Degree and began Trying, Trying

October 2007: Go to OB/GYN to begin testing

November 2007: DH has a low sperm count and motility. My bloodwork is normal. OB suggests IUI.

December 19, 2007: Clomid IUI#1 - BFN

January 15, 2008: Clomid IUI #2 - BFN

February 7, 2008: Clomid IUI #3 - BFN

February 2008: OB wants to refer us to an RE after 3 unsuccessful cycles, but we're in big-time infertility denial, so decide to do more testing first. HSG is completed on February 29, 2008, and is all clear.

March 5, 2008 - attempted IUI but was cancelled.

March 27, 2008: Clomid IUI #4 - BFN

April 22, 2008: Clomid IUI #5 - BFN

July 2008: A benign polyp discovered and removed through a D&C.

October 10, 2008: Clomid IUI #6 - BFN - finally decide to move on to a fertility specialist

January 8, 2009: RE says IVF is our only route based upon first SA results. Recommends second SA.

January 21, 2009: SA #2 results are low/normal, but DH's bloodwork indicates low testosterone (137).

Feb, Mar, April 2009: DH put on Clomid 3x per week for 3 months to try to improve testosterone and SA results.

May 2009: SA results did not change. RE recommends 3 IUIs before moving on to IVF. Femara/Menopur IUI #7 - BFN

August 2009: Femara/Menopur IUI #8 - BFN

February 2010: Femara/Menopur IUI #9 - BFN

March 2010: IVF/ICSI Consultation. Cycle set up for May 2010.

May 2010: Baseline Ultrasound for IVF cycle indicates a polyp. IVF cycle delayed and same day surgery is scheduled to remove the polyp.

July 2010: IVF Cycle #1 - 12 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 5 fertilized, 2 made it to day 3, 0 made it to day 5. Transfer cancelled.

January 2011: IVF Cycle #2 - 6 eggs retrieved, 4 were mature, 2 fertilized, 0 made it to Day 5. Transfer cancelled.

March 2011: Second opinion RE visit and more testing...

May, June, July 2011: DH put on HCG 3x per week to improve testosterone and SA results. Genetic testing is clear.

December 2011: Start BCPs in preparation for IVF #3. HSG scheduled

January 2012: IVF Cycle #3 - 15 eggs retrieved, 13 were mature, 6 fertilized, 2 made it to Day 4 Transfer. BFN. 2 left to freeze.

April 2012: FET Cycle. 2 Transferred. BFN. Again.

March 2013: Donor Insemination

March 17, 2013: Positive Pregnancy Test!

July 9, 2013: It's a Boy!

November 25, 2013: Due Date AND Logan is born! 8lbs 3oz and 21 inches.

December 2014: Donor Insemination #1 for #2

January 2015: Donor Insemination #2 for #2

March 2015: Donor Insemination #3 for #2

March 23, 2015: Positive Pregnancy Test!

May 21, 2015: It's a Boy!

November 30, 2015: Due Date
